Vivian Chow and Joe Nieh sign the papers to seal their marriage in a simple ceremony, 05 January 2009, Hong Kong. The couple finally marry after nearly two decades together.
The past month has been a roller-coaster ride for Vivian Chow and Joe Nieh , packing in an affair, an public split, a speedy reconciliation and today a happy ending as the couple tied the knot in a small wedding ceremony, presided over by a lawyer and a priest and attended by just twenty or so witnesses. The wedding marks the end of a 19-year courtship that has seen many ups and downs.
The bride wore a simple, but elegant gown draped over by her trademark long hair and the groom was content in a black dinner suit and bow tie. Neither sets of parents were present at the ceremony, but among the close friends invited were Leo Ku and Joe Koo. Extravagance was kept to a minimum as the couple pledged their vows together, signed the papers and cut their wedding cake.
Leo took on the responsibility of building up some atmosphere as he encouraged them to kiss three times at the end of the ceremony and he also assisted the photographer by directing them on poses. He smiled later that despite the simplicity, he was very touched and wished the couple a happy life together.
